AZ FRAG needs an artist.

Any graphic artist out there? I have been promising you all new name tags, but I am realizing I lack the software, knowledge, and ability to get/take quality legal pictures. I tried from a few cheap photo editing programs but it has taken me hours to figure out simple things. And when they are done it takes me longer to figure out how to size it to fit on a name tag. I probably could have pounded these out when I took a commercial arts class in high school, but things have changed and I feel like an 90 year old trying to rotary dial on a smart phone.

Basically I am looking to make a new AZ FRAG logo with a members name and maybe avatar on it. If we could made bidder numbers on the back that would be good too. The person would need to have time to make the requested name tags as well. I can help organize it.

I was trying to redo the old FRAG logo that Adrian made. The one that was large letters with pictures of a different coral in each one. I failed.

Yeah they should be about 3x 4. I will see what I can find for a frag or prize.

That is pretty sweet. One of the main thing we need to be concerned of it that we are not violating any copyrights.

I am happily surprised to see everyone's interest in this. To make this fun for everyone we will get a contest going with prizes starting the next meeting, June 15th. Then we can all vote for winners at the PROP meeting in July.

Well I just don't want to steal anyones pictures that's all. If any of you follow Adrian's (Helfrich Chic) photography endures lately she is having the same issue with people using her picture with out permission. As a club I do not want us to fall in that same boat.

So nice original pictures would be appreciated to start off with. That means no penguin assassin pictures. LOL

Didn't say it was not a big deal, just didn't think these were necessarily "copyrighted". I realize these are not MY property, but I am not claiming they are or making a commercial product. A watermark is an easyfix to the problem, these were found using just a basic search. Have some good pics of my tank will only use those for a design. Mods can take down my post if deemed necessary.

Put it this way. Any pictures on RC that do not have a copyright on them are free game. Premium Aquatics stole my Mystery Wrasse picture and they used it in the ad banner. I contacted them and got no response. I was like at least give me credit for the pic lol
