Azoo Heater

Any experiences with Azoo heaters? I picked one up (300W titanium) recently for my 75 and can't get the water above 69.

I just put one in my 65 last night (replacing a stealth I had a hard time keeping on temp) and found that I needed to crank it way up to get it to heat to a temperature I like. I have the control pointing around 94 and it's keeping the tank at a pretty steady 78.5 +/-.3. The heater has been in place and the only heater for 15 hours now. I'm a little freaked out that it might decide to really start heating all of a sudden.

I've been trying to research if this is common, or if my heater is just misscalibrated.

I'm getting the same feeling. Funny, I just replaced mine last night with a Visatherm Stealth.
It seems like the thermostat is goofed up. It does turn on, but turns off right away and the water isn't even close to warm enough.

Mine turns on and off regularly, it seems ok. It's mostly that my set point seems very high. I know heaters are notoriously off in this way though.

Ok, I figured out what mine was doing and it's not pretty. My thermometer was off by six degrees. Two other thermometers check out. Ouch. My tanks been hovering at 85. The only thing keeping it cooler is that I turned it down this morning a little and evaporation.

i have been trying different heaters and have come to the conclusion that i really don't care for hydor heaters because you can't just set them to what you want and have it stay there, but i got a Jäger in one of my tanks and it is always steady and right on the mark of what i set it at. i only own the one so i can't say if it's the norm or not but to me it's definitely worth getting another one next time i need a heater.

I looked at a Jager. Problem was, I needed the big one, which was just too long for my sump (with baffles). I liked those though.
