Baby Cucumber

Turned on my light in refugium this morning and saw this. doesn't have a hard shell, about a centimeter long. After lights came on it sunk into the sand and disappeared.

I have no idea what "pentaradial symmetry" is. And yes it did look like a cerith shell, but i poked it and it was definitely soft.
 
It looks like a tiny black Colochirus sp. cucumber. They have a "basket" style feeding mechanism that they can use to sift detritus or that can expand to filter the water column for suspended foods.
They come in on corals and liverock from the Indo-Pacific regularly, and they're great in reef tanks.
 
Well I'm glad there good....haven't seen it since. But am going to keep an eye out for it.
