Baby dwarfs

It has been done but the vast majority of dwarfs and their fry will not convert to frozen foods. I think it says something when commercial and professional breeders do not sell their H. zosterae as eating frozen foods. If they cant do it with all their time and resources to commit to the foray, and plenty of experience training larger species of seahorse to frozen, then there is a very slim margin of chance hobbyists can do it.

Certainly try.. frozen rotifers, frozen BBS and frozen cyclopeeze are all ideas. But dont plan on not providing live food, paritcularly for the fry which need large amounts of food to power their tremendous growth rates.

What do you mean nothing live, redhotlynn? Dwarves usually only except live BBS. On the other hand, they usually do NOT except frozen.

I too have some baby dwarf sea horses. I feed mine DT's phytoplankton. I do have a question though. Will peperment shrimp eat the babies?
