How fast do they grow under ideal conditions?

Do you target feed ?

I did more reading and see that bowl feeding is better than target. I bought a 2 inch crocea to keep my larger 5 inch company a week ago. Today I noticed he was closed up so bowl fed him and moved him in his bowl higher up in the tank and he has now opened up.
