Back in the hobby

Just stoping by to say hi. I have been out of the hobby for about a year. I just bought a 58gal and I'm in the process of setting it up and getting my equiptment together. a couple questions for you guys:
1. How are the tunze skimmers? I've never used them but i dont have much room in my sump and i dont want anything out side of the stand so i have room for up to the 9020 but i dont know how well they fair against te recirc skimmers but i like the small footprint. The only spots to put a skimmer in my sump is 11"x5" or 12"x6" any suggest are appriciated.

2. How are the hydor koralias? I like the price but was wondering how the quality is. The ones i saw was the #4 but it seemed like it was made kinda cheap. again any suggestions are welcome.

sorry can't help you on the skimmer. I can help on the Korila. I have one, the K4 and I love it however I found out I paid WAY TOO MUCH for it. Found that out after I went LFS hopping. It puts out a nice broad stream that really moves some water. As fare as durability I think it's as tough as a power head can be, and for longevity I don't know I have only been running mine now about 4 months.

I am currebtly running 2-#3's and 2-#4's. They will move alot of water, but I have not had them long enough to give you an idea on durability. They will howver work with a red sea wavemaker though. At first when hooked up to the wave maker, you will hear a slight clunk sound as they turn on and turn off, but after a few hours the clunk noise goes away.

I was thinking of getting some but ended up getting the sure flow maxijet mods since I already had some maxis laying around. For the price of one #4 I ended up with two maxis. The downside is the maxis can be finicky.
