My backlight just failed. Luckily it was under warranty and repaired quickly.
I had not thought about the backlight function until this failure, but now I am wondering what others are doing for contol of this light. Obviously, being turned on 24hrs X 7days (default from the box) was not good.
It would seem that the base display firmware function would provide a major dim state (1) unless a button is touched and then go to the program state daytime /nightime intensity level. (Similar to many remote display/control units.)
So for now, I setup the daytime (intensity 10) to match the time I want it to be on (basically normal hours I am home) and the night time (intensity 1) to be all other time.
How is yours setup? Other Ideas?
