A picture is worth a thousand dollars and I am broke....No picture. But let me try to describe. The Zoos start to close then I notice this milky film that is white and starts to decay polyp. Can I jsut say that this stuff stinks!!! It seams like a plague. I have lost 2 whole colonies. I will not even start with the Nudi plague that has just popped up! I have done fresh water dips and reef dip and Furan-2 with no luck. There are no white lesions just this decay. Now I am afraid it is spreadin to a colony of Favia. I am freaking out. I am redaing everything I can and have noticed what works for some does not for others. Is it possible that this is not just a Zoo problem? HELP! ANYONE? I am just before tears. Tell me this can be stopped...this terrable plague????
Bacteria? Fungas? Killing Zoas and I think spreading to other corals?

dip the colonies in a heavy iodine SW dip to start with, if you do not have any then go to Walgreens and use tincture.
Put them under UBER flow after the dip so the bacteria can't settle on the polyps. Did you just buy these??
The sponge or middle layer of rock, depending on what origin they came from can be rotting-releasing that black sulphur hydroxide(sp) stuff that can be a real pain as the bacteria cant get through the mat and starts to rot it. If it smells like dead eggs than try to remove the matting and spot treat it with HP on a QT to kill the bacteria

Yeah! It does look like that. I hope you have just found this picture on the forum and you are not plagued too! If it is your have you found the cure? Thanks GEOXMAN!! I have read other posts of yours and you appear to know what you are talking about. I shall follow your advice. I lost my complete pink colony. Had 5 frags that looked good and came down stairs the day after dipping to the tank room and they looked like foam. Completely nuked! I think your theory about the layer of rock and sulphur is right on cause I noticed that when I pealed the mat back there was this black looking sludge. This is the greatest wealth of knowledge. It is so cool that everyone shares their experiences. Thanks guys!!!!!!
