bacterial bloom

So I have a question for the seasoned reefers. I have what I believe is a bacterial colonies in my tank. Should I do a mass water change or just ride it out. I do believe this stems from me trying bio pellets on on a nano and then removing them. (My LSP and some of my CUC were going on to the reef in the sky). So I started to just put my system back to the way it was and just run carbon and GFO. I also dosed MB7 every other day and the last time I dosed that was yesterday. All my corals are extended and otherwise doing great. I have alot of polyp extension on all my corals and they seem happy and have lots of color. Only down side is the GHA (my sea hair feels like its a gdam smorgasbord board atm) the bacterial colonies that are fuzzy all over my tank. Well give your thoughts\experiance.

Hugo,

I experienced this last week after dosing MB7 finally for a week's time every day. The pellets still need time to settle in. I chose a separate chamber in the sump that overflows into the return chamber to see what collected from the reactor. The bacterial colonies (brownish white mush) collects at the bottom and solidifies to a gelatinous tofu (best description I can give). After a week of GHA on the backwall (looked like a seventies van on it's side with all the shag) within a single water change of 10% the GHA is gone, water could not be clearer, and polyp extension is off the hook. I cannot remember why you took the pellets offline, but good luck with your goals.
