I replaced my conductivity probe in September because the old one wouldn't hold a constant value. Initially the new probe seemed to calibrate and hold a consistent value, although it would jump a few % every once in a while (e.g. instantly go from 35 to 37.2 and then hove around that value for a few days before jumping to 30.5). After 4 weeks it went totally wacko. My tank now reads 0, 2, 6% etc within a day or two of calibration. I finally gave up and took the probe out of the water...the reading didn't change at all as it dried out (still ~6%).
Is there a way to troubleshoot this to determine if the new probe is bad or if the pm2 is faulty, without having to buy both?
I've move the module to a different location, attached it using a different cord, and moved the probe from the sump to the display. Therefore I don't think it is the location of the probe or the module's connection to the apex.
