Bag Rub on angel

We just got in a pair of shepardi angels and the male looks like he has a serious case of bag rub on his "chin". We got them in on Friday and pulled them today as it looks like it is getting worse. I know pictures would help but it is really hard to get a picture of. The area is white and not bloody but it looks like exposed flesh. Maybe the best word is an ulcer. We are starting with erythromycine treatments. Any words of wisdom?

Jim we are lucky enough to have one and the angels were moved there yesterday. We started our first round of antibiotics, the chin has not gotten any worse which is good.

LOL, I should have looked more closely at your profile, didn't recognize the moniker, and would have known the answer.

Topical antibiotics usually work faster in my experience than do full tank treatments. This also limits the destruction of your QT tank biofilter.

Neosporin has always worked well for me. Of course, if you don't see improvement in a day or two, go with the full tank treatment or get antibiotic laced food.
