BAK PAK 2 Skimmer Not Skimming?

Hey I have a 36 Gallon Salt setup. I have had a my tank and skimmer running for about 4 weeks now. The skimmer was initially bubbling tons and filling up the collection like every 2 days. But now the collection cup has barely anything in it and it doesn't seem like its bubbling high enough to get into the collection cup.

Is this normal? If not, how do I fix it?

I have the same one and there are 2 parts that must be cleaned regularly.

You must clean the neck/tube/cone of the collection cup every few days. I push a paper towel through then rinse with hot water. Hot water helps it get back to work faster. This keeps the bubbles efficiently rising up the tube. It gets too gunked up and it can't make it up the tube.

Also, the little filter cap on the pump ( if you have the stock pump) has to be cleaned regularly too -about once a week here. This cruds up and slows down the water flow into the skimmer itself.

If mine stops working I know one or the other needs a cleaning.

My Bak Pak 2 had too many bubbles right after a water change and then nothing in the cup until a day or two later. I bought the attachment to stop bubbles and it has been working perfect ever since. I think mine was a break in period.
