Hey all,
I have been asked to set up a fragging station for commercial use, so it will get quite a bit of use. Can anyone suggest a good model? Budget is about 500$ or so, I wont be fragging any monstrous pieces so clearance doen't have to be more than 8 inches, definitely has to be least amount of maintanance as possible and as durable as possible.

I have been eying the Diamond Band Saw- Model C-40 by Gryphon.

What do you guys think?
Thanks!

You can also check out ring saws. I work for a company that sells these (I'm in the stone and tile industry) and actually had a customer get a ring saw specifically for his fragging business. The ring saw manufacturer is Gemini Saws and the Apollo Ring Saw would be the one to take a look at.

They really are pretty niffy saws.

Honestly, I'm not real sure. It's a wet saw, so it's designed knowing there's going to be water all over the place. Of course, salt adds a whole other factor, but I'd imagine that as long as it's well taken care of (cleaned up after each use), then it wouldn't be too much of an impact. The blade and belts are the typical wear and tear parts that need replacing every so often.

If I can think of the guy's name (or the company name), I'll PM you the info if you feel like reaching out to him and seeing how he likes the saw. That was 3 - 4 months ago, so I'll have to think on it a bit. I'm kind of curious about it as well actually.

Meh, it's ok. I really appreciate it, but I think for cutting corals I would rather work with the straight blade of a bandsaw. Still really cool though :-).
