I seen a couple of Banded Pipefish at the LFS...

Lady there of course is like "yeah they would be fine", but I would like some experienced Pipe Fish keepers to advise. I have not purchased anything, just doing my homework...

Setup (1yr old, stable, AquaC skimmer, 70w MH)

24g Aquapod - Big Enough?
Reef Tank - Mostly all Softies, Zoas, Xenia, Leathers, Clam, Candy Cane(LPS), Galaxy (LPS That is leaving tank)
GBTA - Anenome is this a definate NO!
True Perc. - Nice demeanor, never harassing
Purple Firefish
Small Yellow Watchman
Crocea Clam
Cleaner shrimp
Pep. Shrimp
Sexy Shrimp
Anem. Crab
several hermits, various snails.

should be fine. bandeds get pretty big ( not small like bluestripes or dwarfs) so you should be fine. just make sure is feeding on frozen. make sure he gets plenty of food, you may want to spot feed him.good luck. i wouldnt worry about the bta, my lfs keeps multiple species with anenomes and has no problems.

thats a really good price! i paid 60$ for my pair of bluestripes. all the pipes at my lfs go for 30$ apeice.

i have a banded pipefish in my tank with 4 seahorses a goby and to firefish eating frozem mysis the all get along just fine...
