Shark
Great! Fantastic!
I've found a whole bunch of info on the web, and you can supplement that with reading some books. Some basics on breeding what some consider the "guppy" of saltwater breeding include:
1. Pairing is often by trial and error, as sexual dimorphism
is not reliably apparent to most of us human observers. Hopefully, you've got a "boy and a girl." But if they chase or intimidate one or the other into submission, you might have two males. See if your local fish store would be willing to "trade-out" one or the other for a different specimen, to try to insure a breeding pair.
2. Many report that these fish, if wild caught, can be hit or miss in the survival dept. Try to encourage and support your LFS's efforts to supply captive bred Bangers.
3. Conditioning is a term that is used to describe the process of preparing the happy couple for the long road of "pregnancy". You'll want to read up on these strategies, but in brief, feeding wonderful, juicy and nutritious foods, as well as providing a safe, unmolested environment go a long way toward persuading the amorous couple to "seal the deal."
4. Several Vids on the internet actually show techniques for getting the babies out of the mouth of the papa
early to prevent the eating of the brood by the less-than-ideally-conditioned father. Some breeders think they can provide a safer upbringing for the fry, but it is generally regarded as a more advanced and labor intensive approach, and maybe not necessary.
5. At any rate, what a noble venture: Helping decrease the need for wild caught individuals, while simultaneously increasing your own knowledge and experience in the business of breeding,...as a gentleman scientist.
Ok, read Wittenrich's book on Breeding

Hopefully these links will help. I'm sure there are others and folks here should definitely chime in with advice. The more folks we have interested in raising these
nobles beasts, the better it will be for all of us.
