Bangaii Cardinal help

I'm planning for a new fish to be got in about 4-6 weeks time.

I really like bangaii cardinal fish and i currently have one as the only fish in my 60l nano. I am thinking about getting another one and they will be the only 2 fish in the tank. By looking at pairs of bangaii cardinals in members tanks images i think that i have got a male. If i tried to get a female would they pair up? If i cannot get a female, if i add another cardinal will it have to be the same size? and will my current one become more active during the day (come out onto display more instead of staying in the back corners and sometimes the front corner). It seems as if my bangaii is really really active at lights out- when im in bed

Thanks

Will

Bangaii are notorious nocturnal hunters. Awesome to watch at night.

Now. It's very difficult (almost impossible) to accurately sex your bangaii prior to a spawn. So if you get one of the same sex, they will most likely fight until 1 turns up dead (usually overnight and not fore-seen). But if you get one of the opposite sex they should pair up happily.

Unfortunately, you will likely see a dead Bangaii or 2 during the process. Unless your going to breed them, i'd stick to just 1. It saves you money and dead fish.

Add a small damsel, goby or clownfish. They will provide much more entertainment. Allen's damsel is a really nice and peaceful fish. Stunning bright blue colour (it changes colour based on mood?)
