Banggai Cardinal Feeding Question

ice-
yes you can feed them small guppies occasionally, but it should NOT be a regular thing.
AS far as foods, Mine loved PE frozen mysis, planktons, and any meaty foods. Gorcery store bought chunks of gulf shrimps, small chunks of white fish, etc. If the frozen brine and omega flakes are all your feeding your tank, you should consider adding additional foods to the rotation. small meaty cube foods- thawed, broken up into fragments. ocean planktons is another good food for them.
Lastly, why doesn't your banggai look like the one in the picture, pretty much all banggais look the same. The photo Foster & smith are using is a young banggai prolly <6month and scared, hence the flared fins

The only difference really is the silver color. Mine has that rich silver around his face, but the one that goes around his belly doesn't quite have that same silver shine. Is that something that only they lose with age?

my fish like Hikari mysis. It is smaller than PE and is a true saltwater shrimp, but both types of mysis are considered fine food. Also, I have never seen any fish in my tank turn down some grated raw shrimp. Just make sure the shrimp is fresh and not treated in any way to make it keep its color. Just tell your grocer what you want it for and why you are asking if it is treated, he will tell you.

... yes, uh, I'd like one shrimp please... That be one pound right?... No, one, thanks... ONE!? WHAT YOU GONNA DO WITH JUST ONE?... It is to feed to my salwater fish... OH???, sure buddy what ever you say.

Get some Mysis, they will eat it up and it is real good for them.

Good luck, Kevin
