Bartlett's anthias... Fighting?

I had 3 Bartlett's anthias, and they got along just fine. Last night, one jumped out of the tank and died. Now the bigger of the two remaining anthias is picking on the smaller one... Is this normal? How can I remedy this situation? Purchase another anthia?

I ran into the same thing with a trio in my 90G. After there was only one, I traded back into the LFS and got 3 resplendent instead. 6 months later all are doing fine.

What size tank are you keeping them in?

Good Advice... I'll take them back tomorrow; in separate bags of course. They're in a 55 gallon. Hopefully the LFS will give me equal trade-in value. Not really any reason not to.

I think tank size may be a big part of your problem. I wouldn't keep more than one smaller anthias in a tank that small. Anthias have very active male/female hierarchy. The loss, of what was probably the dominate male, changed the pecking order.
