Base board heaters

Not being from around here Ive never had base board heaters. Does putting a tank in front of one cause any issues? My biggest concern is warping of the stand from expansion and contraction. But I figured I may just be paranoid.

I wouldn't put a tank directly in front of one. In winter they can get super hot. So even if a wood/mdf stand survives the heat, the inhabitants may not. Then there's the inevitable salt spray that will rust them out in a heartbeat.
