Basement fish rooms and humidity

All of you reefers that have basement fish rooms, how do you control your humidity in there?

I've just recently put a dehumidifier in the room, and it's reduced the humidity from 60% to 40%. It has also raised the temperature of the room to 86 degrees. Since I have relied on the basement room to cool the tank water, this is not a desired result.

I'm considering a vent to the outside, but am worried that during the winter that will allow too much cold air into the room.

I'm also considering sealing the sump.

So how do you deal with the humidity in your basement fish room?

I just let the dehumidifier run 24/7, I have a fan on the tank that blows air across the tank for additional cooling. if the winter i turn the little fan off to keep the tank temp up. works ok for me...
