Batch operation of Ozone

In general, I don't like automatic control on low budget.

The heater is the only thing I have that is under automatic control. I always consider the consequence of malfunction.

How reliable and durable is a $200 ORP controller? Is it likely to last ten years without failure?

What do you think of batch operation of ozone?

In a container of fair capcity, you apply ozone, may be outdoors. After a day when all o3 will have dssipated, you pump the water back into the system. Do you still need activated carbon this way?

You can not hold ozone for very long time, it degrades very fast, but leaves behind 'toxic' compounds. And carbon must be used because of them, not so much because of ozone itself.

And, controller itself 'can' last very long, but his probe become inaccurate after a few or so years. But, if you change probes, then controllers(for many things, not only O3) can last very long period of time..especially if you buy some lab quality units.
