BC14 drilling.

Anyone have suggestions on drilling a BC14. I have been reading alot about it and some say that they drilled in the center of the back and some have had issues and some have not had issues. Some have said to drill as close as possible to the edge of the glass to prevent cracks. I'm just a little concerned, I have never drilled a tank before and I'm not sure the best route to go on this tank. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

provided the glass is not tempered, you can drill the glass anywhere provided you stay 1.5 hole diameters from any edge, the centre of the glass is the last place i would drill though...

Yes I agree, stay away from the center. I drilled my nuvo 30. My return is in the middle chamber in back and I drilled closer to the bottom. No reason to have that chamber full when you going with a sump. Go slow with the hole saw let the bit do they cutting and don't force it or you will end up with slivers and possible cracks.

Ok so I'm thinking of drilling at the back bottom of the first chamber and doing a durso style stand pipe for the overflow and then drilling at the top back for return. Any thoughts tell me good or bad? I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing here.
