Beat up clown...

My buddy at pet kare gave me a beat up clown fish...apparently something took a chunk out of his top fin..and messed up one of his gills...he seems happier since I brought him home...I want you guys to take a look and tell me what you think about it...I'll take some pics as soon as my girl gets home..he's a maroon clown with gold stripes..

Hey you already have 2 clowns in your small tank i don't think I would put all 3 of those clowns in the same tank. Also Qt the fish, don't put him directly into the main tank

The chomp out of the top fin wouldn't concern me, that gill, or lack thereof to be specific would make me nervous.

I agree with Al, put him in a QT, alone. I would not introduce him to a tank with other fish, especially other clowns until he is 100%

You added those pics after I posted. I would definately not put him in the main tank. I agree with cd0 about the gill area. can you get some more pics of that? It looks like the outer gill plates is missing or never there.

I took her back..she's gone..still at pet kare if someone wants her...

the gill was a deformity...which I was told is common in tank raised clowns...it doesn't take away from her happiness or anything...
