This is the perfect ZE with upgrades!

Had this in the dining room for the last several years. Wife loves it. Every person that walks through the door says "œWOW, what is that!" This is a show stopper. If anyone has seen my ZE and agrees, please give me a "œ+1".

So why give it up?......Love this hobby but"¦"¦.I'm starting some new interests, so reallocating my time and money.

Here's what you get for $500 (retailed for well over $1000)
Tank
Cabinet
All necessary plumbing

Light fixture! That's 150w DE MH, two 24w T5's, moonlight LED's, cooling fans hanging post. Each has its own plug, so they can be on separate timers. (This alone retails over $500)

Huge Upgrade Mod: I redesigned the system to operate like the Herbie Overflow system. That means: The system is SILENT! You can stand right next to the tank and you hear"¦"¦.nothing! No waterfalls. It's been tested hundreds of times and it never has, nor ever will, overflow.

Bonus options:
If you're a tinkerer, I have designed an anti-siphon mechanism to prevent it from draining if power is lost. No unreliable check valves are used and failure is almost impossible (no moving parts, just good physics). I have this setup here but will require some tinkering to customize it to your home. More than happy to help.

I probably have enough extra reef gear laying around to set this up anyway you want. I'll sell that gear at bargain basement prices.

I have coral and clams that I would also sell at discounted prices with purchase.

What do you need to get it running?
That depends on how you want to set it up. It will need a sump, return pump, and any accessories you want to add (i.e. skimmer, heater, etc"¦). I have it plugged in to my main display so I don't need repetitive equipment. This has worked extremely well, plug and play!

Please pm interest. Pickup is in St. Charles. Willing to split travel if needed. Stop by to see it in person. Thanks, Ed

+1 for this wonderful ZE tank. Thanks Ed for letting me see it in person. Still lingering in my mind about how beautiful it is , esp with the giant Maxima Clam in there. GLWS Ed.

hi ed how big of asump can you fit under it? isit drilled for overflow or what?

thanks

Hello,

You could fit a 15g or 20g high tank inside, although I have used a Steriltie container and that worked well.

In regards to overflow, it uses the "Herbie Method."
In the back, there is a large hole that drains the reservoir that was installed by the manufacturer. I added two more "emergency drains" in the corners and put a gate valve on the drain. When you set the gate valve at the "sweet spot" it makes the system absolutely silent, because there is no air going through the drain. In the event that the drain becomes clogged or runs slower then the pump, the emergency drains easily pick up the slack. It's an awesome upgrade. If you're interested, let me know, and I'll post picks.

Thanks
