Beckett vs Downdraft: Differences?

I'm planning on building a DIY skimmer, and I'm not sure which one I want to build. I know theyre similar technologies, and the skimmers are similar, but whats the differences? What are the pros and cons of each?

Can one be run on a smaller pump than the other? Is one more effiicent?



Please dont move this to DIY, as its not a DIY thread, but a question on the meritt of each technology.
