I just watched this film with Leonardo DiCaprio https://www.beforetheflood.com/ .It explains that a 2 degree rise in temperature will kill a lot of the corals reefs.These are bad news and i think it wont be like a seasonal coral bleaching from where the reef recovers fast.The most affected will be the main reef builders ,acropora and montipora corals that are the ones that grow the fastest and that take the most CO2 from the atmosphere .I was thinking that a solution to take down efficiently a lot of CO2 from the atmosphere, could also be by growing huge ammounts of fast growing, resistant corals,eventually even genetically modified but in way so that they wont be a danger for the enviroment (like genetically modifyed corals that wont be able to breed ).
