I'm a rookie. Set up a new 28gal JBJ LED tank 5 days ago and two of these are popping out of the rock that was given to me from a tank that was taken down 6mos ago and the rock placed in buckets of salt water. The man that gave the rock to me said someone gave him these and he doesn't know the name or there reef compatibility etc. I hope these anemone's can survive the tank cycling! What is there name. So I can read up.

They look like some really awesome Majano. I saw another reefer that had a very uniqely colored Majano that he kept. I would get a second opioning though. Don't feed it until you figure out what it is.

+1 on majanos, I love that color morph but when they really take off they can cover your tank pretty quickly. With really clean water they tend to stay fairly manageable though.

Thanks for the replies. I'm thinking I will remove one of the two of these. Keep the water clean and watch closely the one left in my Nano. Thanks again
