Beginnings of bryopsis bloom?

Tank is:
4 weeks old about
6 gallon modified fluval edge
HOB filter with floss, small power head live rock and sand
About 6 days since amonia reached zero.
Now im into the nitrite and nitrate part of the cycle
Cycled with small shrimp pellets

So I noticed some algae on a rock and the next day I had this bloom in my tank. To me it looks like the beginning of bryopsis
But it's been a few years since I've been in the hobby.
I expect to get some blooms but this one is always annoying.

I have no live stock in the tank right now so if the consensus is bryopsis I'll get some tech m and raise the mag levels.

Thanks let me know what you think.
I added a photo of my tank to help with scale

I have never heard of this treatment is it new. Is it now considered better then using tech m?

absolutely.. fluconazole works great..

I however wouldn't recommend any treatment on such a new tank and would urge you just be patient and see how it goes..
That IMO looks more like regular green hair algae and not bryopsis..
Algae should be expected and tolerated in a new tank as part of the new tank "ugly stages"..
Let the tank "mature" on its own and your clean up crew and proper maintenance should take care of it..

The second picture looks like bryopsis to me. It being a new tank is a perfect time to treat. Won’t do much for GHA. Huge 260 page thread on that other major reef website called “My Battle With Bryopsis Using Fluconazole”

Fluconazole certainly takes care of GHA too.. It did in the treatment I did..
2 weeks post treatment all the GHA had turned white and either was floating around the tank or dead/gone..

I'm going to take a look at that thread and consider my options but really I'm thinking that treating the tank now is the better idea. Bryopsis only needs a few cells in your tank and in no time you have a bloom. If I kill it off now I have less of a chance of getting a resurgence later imho
