Ok well I have told people I am going to put photos of my aquarium up. So here they are. Nothing special same ol' same ol' corals ya know. Seems like everyone has these but it makes me happy. Just to give specs on it.
It is a 15 gallon aquarium with a 175 icecap metal halide with a XM 20k bulb. For filtration there is nothing special about it at all. For my filter i have the aquaclear 70 i believe and 2 powerheads. For the powerheads i have 1 maxijet 1200 and 1 maxijet 900 both have hydor flo's on them and seem to be working great. I have no problem with them at all. I try to do water changes twice a month but I service aquariums with Danny Curlin for my job and sometimes i just don't feel like coming home and cleaing another aquarium. It has been set up since the beginning of October maybe... Don't really remember. I battled with dinoflagelates for the longest time everything was slimy brown and was choking out my corals and did a little reading and started dosin Kalk to get the ph high and maintained. And with Dave's intelligence he told me that the dinoglagelates actually emit a toxin which is why my corals looked horrible. In this tank i wanted to do my favorite types of corals which are Acroporas, Montiporas, and zoanthids. That is all that is in this tank. Along with the possum wrasse that you will see in the pictures. This is my 3rd tank and has been my absolute favorite. I like the look of the small tanks. Big tanks are cool but on a college budget i settled for this. And to tell you the truth I don't know if i will ever get another large tank. Well enough of the jibber jabber here it is.
The Blue with green polyp millepora right here is my favorite coral in my tank.
Let me know what you think.
