berghia nudibranch in SPS tank

I added two berghia nudibranch to my 715 Gal mixed tank. They took care of two full size Aptasia over night. I had my doubts that these tiny little nudibranch would actually work. Its shocking how fast they can eat them.

They work but 2 in a 715g tank is not even close to enough. They have to be able to find each other and reproduce. The chances of that happening I. Such a large tank with only 2 is slim. You may get lucky but I lots of people buy only a couple and then claim they didn't work. Personally I use 10 minimum in my 200g, I also wait till the aiptasia problem is pretty bad so they have plenty of food. It takes a few months but they always work.

Anyone have wrasses in their tank with them? Im thinking they will just be lunch. do they have any defense against predators? any tips for having them in a tank together besides adding them at lights out?

I do not have any wrasses in my tank. So I don't have to worry about them getting eaten. Sorry no help there.

I added a dozen and a half to my 120 in an attempt to eradicate my aiptasia. After a couple months, they did jack. I added a pair of McCosker's, and they quickly vanished.

A couple weeks ago I added two dozen peppermints, but they haven't been that helpful. They mostly seem to go for aiptasia that are already mostly dead and disintegrating from kalk or mojano wand.

As Darrell said, you need more. I used 8 in a 60gal system, 6 in display and 2 in the sump. They did the job just fine.
