Berghia Nudibranches

Well last tuesday i shelled $15 a piece and $35 shipping to get 4 of these Berghia's. After putting them in the tank near a whole patch of aptasia they disappeared. I am happy to announce they are still alive(saw 2 this morning) and some of the aptasia are starting to disappear. Now these things are supposed to multiply in your system as long as there are aptasia to keep feeding them. I'm sure i have plenty to feed as i have quite a few aptasia(couple hundred probably). If they reproduce like they are supposed to i should in the near future have some Berghia's to sell to club members cheaper than where i got them, plus no shipping. Hopefully this works out as im sure some of you need these guys.

It will be a little bit. I need them to reproduce. I think they said first hatch to reproduction size is a month. I dont know how many i will get each batch tho. We will have to see.

hmmm..I am fragging tonight....made another rack for the main tank. I am dragging my feet on the back tank...need new bulbs and illuming.com does not have the 250 phoenix anymore.

I don't know if you saw this article or not, but it's about culturing berghias. If you have an endless supply of aiptasia (that isn't hard) then you can have an endless supply of berghias. All you need are a few smaller tanks to culture them in and keep switching aiptasia rocks and berghias. A lot of people say they lose their berghias before they can eat every last molecule of the aiptasias, so they come back in the far future.
