Berlin protein skimmer operation

Hi all, I was taught a long time ago that there is no such thing as a stupid question so here goes. I have a 125 gal tank I bought and moved to my house. Just setting up a used Berlin skimmer out of the 30 gal refugium. Have a Rio pump running into it, but only getting return on one output. there is water in the other line but no pressure to get it all the way out. Not sure if this is normal or not (I'm guessing not) but what do I do? Can't raise the skimmer height unless we move it behind the tank. It's top is about 6" from the top of fuge. Thanks!

It sounds like you need a stronger pump...

I had one of those years ago. I believe I used a RIO 2100 to run it. Those skimmers are really not worth a hill of beans in my opinion. I would look for something better.

I am running it on a Rio 2100, I hooked it all up last night and I am getting cream colored foam at the top today. Hopefully this will hold us for awhile, only so much in the budget to spend right now! Thanks for the input.
