Berlin Skimmer. Upgrades???????

I have a berlin insump skimmer and was wondering would I be better off buyin the turbo upgrade, or since I have a kent inducter layin around, using that and buying a new mag pump????? I have or should say had it on a 60 gal tank, but like always the rio pump died. If I go with a new mag pump which size is best????
I've already done a search on here, and when the search engine was running, I didn't quite get the info I needed.

A mag 9.5 Seems to be the best.

So if I go this way, I'll remove the stock venturi but to plug the hole I was thinking of putting candle wax in the nipple that screws in the whole, right where the air line connects. Is there any reason I shouldn't do this???

The hole is 1/8 pipe thread. Go to Home Depot and get a plastic plug for it.
