berlin sump with,atscrubber and refugium

i have a 180 reef tank running on a berlin sump with extra live rock, im thinking about adding a atscrubber and a refugium that would feed into the berlin sump, then pumped to the tank. i am hoping to add more food with this set up. would this work ?

Ats scrubbers are very efficient at removing nutrients. In their short state of growth they are in a state of emergency .Therefore growth is very rapid in this state. Thus a removal of the algae every 2 weeks is prudent. I will make one of theese to exsperiment one day.

How does one set this up? I mean what kind of algae used? Does it need a substrate? etc...
