Best advice for killing Majano

So, I bought an established 90g tank, and all has been happy and well. I noticed when I first set the tank up, these cute little green things on a rock, that fit perfectly in the back near the bottom corner of the tank, oh well, I thought, hope these cute little green things spread so I can see them better. After about a month or so I did notice one or two and thought, oh cool they are moving around and there are two... no wait, three right up front on a bare rock, cool! Huh, look at that, there's one there, and there and there... they seem to be all over 1 or 2 just randomly, maybe this isn't good, I need to know what these are.

So moral of the story, I come to learn that they are majano, no mistake about it. I've read some use AptasiaX (I have some, just hate using it), lemon juice (have lemons, so that's a possibility), and boiling water (this seems a little scary to me since if anything else gets in the way of the boiled water, wouldn't it harm that too?).

What's your best advice about removing them Majano from rocks not easily removed from the tank? There is a large patch of these on a rock covered in Sunshine polyps, I'm thinking it would likely be best to just remove this rock and manually remove the Majano. Unfortunately, all the rest of the places these guys have decided to live would require a near complete tare down of my tank. That's not the Sunday project I had in mind today. Can I just use a dental tool to manually remove these, or will doing so cause them to spawn?

whenever you "disturb" the manjos or even aptasia they will release spores in an attempt to survive so removing the rock and manually removing them would simply spread them . i would suggest a certain file fish that i own and cannot remember the name of but they are notorious for eating the aptasia and manjos . mine have hurt nothing else in my tank throughout the years .i did have a CBB and it was great for many years but it turned and later started eating my torches and frogspawns much to my dismay . peppermint shrimp may get the manjos but im not positive and i know some others will chime in and let you know more information . good luck because its a battle once you get them .

I'm not sure that I can add a Green File Fish. Love the little guys, but my tank is pretty stocked at the moment. I have a Peppermint Shrimp and therefore no aptasia. From my experience, Peppermints won't go after Majano. We moved this tank in about two months ago, and the majano has spread since. I wish I had known what they were when I was setting up the tank, this would be a none issue. The ironic thing is that I think they have a pretty green color and would love to keep them, but not if every other thing in the tank is going to be overtaken by them.

if it were me i would do anything to kill them off asap and keep upon them . they are tough and somewhat difficult to erradicate but if you can at least reduce the overall number and control their spread that would be a great start .

I had a problem with them a while back and what i did was make a slurry with a little kalk and inject a small amount into the center of the majano. They shrivel up in a couple seconds.Worked like a charm for me!

I injected one with boiling water mixed with a little lemon juice. it died alright but quickly melted away leaving dead debris floating about. I am not sure how the rest of the livestock are going to react

If u can remove the rock then a fresh water dip to help the unseen and a wire brush for the ones u see. about 1 min should be good...

I use AptasiaX. Seems to work good on them. Why do you hate to use it? I been using it for a while and have never seen any negative outcomes.

If you're persistant with kalk paste injected with a syringe through the middle really works well. As soon as you see one pop up do it again. When you do it cover the whole spot until it's white with the paste. I even got rid of hyrdroids using this method.
