Best Algae Cleaning Magnet for a Large Tank

I am preparing to set up a tank that is 36" high with 1" thick acrylic. Needless to say, it would be difficult to clean the tank regularly. I am looking for the best and most powerful cleaning magnet for a 1" thick acrylic tank.

Which one is best? About how much is one? And where can I pick one up?

my 400gal has 1 1/4 inch acrilic.. do you think the great white whould be good enough.. it says it's only good up to 1 inch.. also is there any way to make it so that it floats...

magnet floats on acrylic tanks?concerns with scratching? I just recently bought my first acrylic tank and am so worried about scratching it. Im guessing as long as you keep the magnet away from sand then your good right?

The great white is not powerful enough. My tank is 1.5 inches and the mag-float 1000 isn't powerful enough either. My two favorites (equally) are Mighty magnets and the magnavore 10. My tank is viewable from three sides so I have one of each of these on a separate sides. The mighty magnets can be custom built for extra strength. I will be selling my mag float 1000 and probably ordering a custom mighty magnet. I like the fact that the mighty magnets float but the magnavore 10 is a really great one as well.

Dont Schuran do a magnet designed specifically for acrylic tanks? Im sure I saw an advert once. The thing that I likes was the outside magnet was on rubber wheels to help prevent scratches. If anyone has a link to that I would appreciate it.....Xmas is coming

No they cost more than that in most large tank applications. Of course when you only have a 50 gal tank cleaning it isnt that much of a concern.
Besides Im sure if you know how much $$ it takes to set up a display tank over 200 + gals. and maintain it then a few hundred for a quality lifetime magnetic cleaner is a drop in the bucket.

The real problem is when you spend three ours laying on top of your tank with your face in the water trying to get all that algae off and can't quite reach that corner!!!!! The cost becomes worth it.

My tank is 1" thick I use a Magnavore 10 and it works Great.

I actually have a Magnavore X (previous model) which the inside magnets Epoxy seal broke and therefore needs to be re-sealed. If you can reseal it or know of somebody that can I can sell the pair for $75 bucks.
