Best anemone for clowns

I've heard that a seabe anemone is a good one.. or a giant carpet sea anemone. I have 2 perculas at the moment.

In your opinion, what is the best host anemone for these. As well, what type of care and lighting would i need for said anemone.

I have seen good results with green bubble tip anemone but be careful about your corals you have as they like to move and could kill them, T5s or halides and learn how to feed. I could thing to remember is that with any anemone they will move around until they find a suitable spot. Good luck.

Is this for your 29 ? If so, neither one that you mentioned would work, both get way too big, and can be difficult to find a healthy one.

yes it is for my 29. Thanks for the advice about them getting too big. the last thing i want is for my fish to be in an uncomfortable, cramped space.

seabe anemone is NOT a good one. They are hard to keep.
Go for a GBTA or a RBTA.
Make sure to cover your powerhead intakes.

Remember that clowns will not always take to an anemone. It is hit or miss. Clowns have also been known to use euphyllia as hosts also. This may be a better option for you. However, clowns do not need an anemone or host or vice-versa.

I agree with Todd. Until you're ready for a tank twice as big as the one you have now, don't even think about getting an anemone.
