really - the more "food" you add to the tank the more nutrients you're adding. SPS will eat the detritus from your fish, bacteria in the water, newly-hatched pods, etc.

I've tried feeding SPS all kinds of super-expensive foods, target feeding each colony - and simply ignoring them and not feeding anything gives the best growth and color by far.

I feed my sps Eric's coral chow and Golden pearls. Do some reading look info from Eric B and Anthony Calfo they explain more in depth on the feeding of SPS. If you pm me I can give you some links to read.
