venwu225 What Species

Hey venwu225, what species is that?! WHAT AN INCREDIBLE PIC!!!! WHere did you get it, how much etc????

Thanks for the commentary.

Gonodactylaceus ternatensis, the animal is a large female I
believe. She has molted once ever since acquistion, and
frequently lunges at me with intent to cause injury.

I took the photo by luck just as she came out to explore,
they are very diffcult to photograph because of their active
nature.

Here is a better image

where did you acquire the ternatensis?? Are those generally available to the public?? ALl I have been able to find is the peacocks and wenneras... Can they be found online????
Thanks!!

I have a big male tern 4"+. He was the first mantis my LFS had ever received (on purpose). They couldn't ID him, but I bought him anyway. He's been in a 20g for about a year. I have searched high and low for other types (that N. wenn or peacocks) at on-line sources and haven't found any, but that makes it all the more spectacular when your LFS finally does get one. So far I have had glaborous and platysome, also purchased from my LFS.
