Best Refugium set up, 10g

I'm moving off to college next year and I want to set up a 10 gallon in my dorm.
Well I am unsure how to do a Refugium, or if to do one at all. I want to keep a nice clean look. I already have another 10g tank that is set up as a refugium already. so making one would be no problem.

Is it possible to drill a 10 gallon? And if not what is the best diy way to get the water down to the refugium?

You can drill a 10 gallon but the glass is thin so you have to be cautious. You can always go with an acrylic 10 gallon - drilling those is a no-brainer. The only other way to really get water down to a sump is to use a HOB overflow setup. I think the easiest way is to modify an aquaclear HOB filter into a refugium.

Ya, i figured that would be my best choice.

I have around 40lbs of live rock in my 29, I really don't want to have to get rid of it and I figure that more I have in the 10 gallons the system the better of it is.

Does anyone know of a good site that shows the process to drill a 10 gallon or how much an acrylic 10 gallon costs?
