I am sure people have shared there experiences, but I wanted to create a current thread as I am going to be removing a green BTA from live rock in the next couple days.
I have always had good luck with adding a extra powerhead to create lots of flow around them. In a few hours (when they start moving) you can remove the anemone a lot easier and less risk to damaging the boot.
You just can not point the powerhead directly at the anemone.
Really no safe way to remove a nem from a rock thats going to be quick. I would blast it with a power head for awhile. You can try gently rubbing its foot with your finger.
I got one off by gently nudging its boot with my finger for 10-15 minutes. once you get the edge off the rock it gets quicker and when I did it, the nem completely let go of the rock when its boot was half off.
