Hi,
I have a mixed reef tank and currently use Instant Ocean salt mix, but am thinking of switching to Kent sea salt (I can get it cheaper). What do you guys think about the swich? Also, what is considered the "best" salt mix in terms of high calcium/alkalinity, Mg, etc. and low/no phosphate & nitrate??
As a side note, I currently have a slight hair algae problem that I am trying to combat by performing frequent water changes and aggressive skimming (per Anthony's advise). Therefore, I really do not want to add any unnecessary phosphate to my tank by chosing the wrong salt mix.
Any help is much appreciated!!
Thanks,
Jared
