Hey all,
I've been thinking about switching to NSW instead of making my own since im getting lazy + busy. Who is the best supplier for NSW in Dade?
Thanks!

Haulover Inlet. That's where the commercial people go. You can back up to the bulkhead and pump the water into your container.

VIP seawater but it's not worth it imo if you're only filling 50 gal and don't have a water reservoir. He charges $120 for up to 400 gallons. For $120 I can buy salt & make 10 water changes for my tank lol.

not concerned about getting oil from passing boats?

You're supposed to go as the tide is coming in, so that you're pulling fresh water from the ocean which hopefully doesn't have oil and other crud from boats, not gross intercoastal/bay water that has been stewing as it gets flushed out. We hope that suppliers fill up at that time, but if you're worried you can always ask.

Depending how much water you are planning on buying at one time, it might be better to find a store that gets water from one of the tankers in your area already and just buy it from them, there will be a mark up but it will not be $120, However if you have a 300 gal set up at your house that you can fill and keep water movement then it might be better to get one of the water tank services to come and fill it every couple of months

Just to note, I was a captain for many years out of haulover and I can tell you the commercial guys collecting water will do it at whatever time (tide) they can.

There are certainly people that will do that but most reputable water service will pick it up at the end of the high tide, I know a few that do, now on ocasión if they get an emergency call or the water is not destined for aquarium use then you will se them picking up the water at what ever time but I don't believe that is the norm
