best temp. for a seahorse tank

75F is fine. I run my tanks on the cooler side (72F). Just don't go above 78 long-term for any seahorse species.

ok just for knowledge sake you say 78F can be too high for long term ....so i would bet 80 is unsafe right? anyways whats too low? is 70 too low? how about 69F? just for knowledge sake as im a sponge and luv info! LOL! just foolin around im just curious.

okthanks for sharing your experience and knowledge . interesting stuff! thanks pledosophy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What does 78+ do to seahorses? My tank is usually around 77.5. I recently installed a UV filter (ich. problem in main tank) and it spiked the temp up to 78.5-79 overnight so I turned it off.

I live in SWFla and as a kid we found seahorses during the summer all the time and water temps were in the 80's. Is it just because most captively bred species are from colder waters?
