I've always been an advocate of hyposalinity. I recently got burned with ich and am almost starting over. Is copper more effective than hypo in a designated qt tank?

Yes, Cryptocaryon can be resistant to hyposalinity conditions.

Cupramine is the best and gentlest of the copper treatments. Tank transfer also works to rid fish of ich.

I agree. For prophylactic prevention and treatment of cryptocaryon irritans, I opt for tank transfer first. But this is effective ONLY for ich and not for flukes or oodinium.
