Best way to attach SPS to wet rocks???

Rat Bastard!
I've got some frags that I'm ready to mount but I'm wondering what would be the best way to go about it. I've had these on a frag rack in my main tank for the last 3 weeks or so and now I'm ready to mount them on the rocks. I'm thinking that I'll cut them off the frag mounts by nibbling away the glue with diagonal cutters but there are a few that have already encrusted so I'm just going to cut off the post.

Since I may need to move them if they don't like their new homes what would be the best adhesive to use to mount them? A couple of the rocks I can take out of the tank but the majority of the frags will have to be mounted underwater. I have two part epoxy putty and gel glue and have used both in the past but I'm leaning towards using the gel as much as possible because I think it will be easier to break corals free from that stuff. Any tips or advice on this are appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Put superglue gel on your finger and prime the rock in the tank with it, then add some to the frag outside of the tank and adhere to the same spot you primed.

I have had great luck with the 2 part/super glue gel sandwich...and I have been able to get most of these mounts off when I decide to move corals. I mix a small ball of 2 part, then a dollup of super glue on the top, push the frag into it outside of water. Then turn it over, put a dollup of super glue gel on the bottom side of the 2-part ball and put it underwater and attach to the spot on the rock. If I want to move the coral I pop the whole thing off the rock. If it is stubborn I stick one of my needle tongs under the putty and pry it up...usually the sharp tongs can get in under the ball, especially if the rock is grooved and such, and pop it right off without harming the coral in any way.

+1.

I agree. Ive never had an issue with gel/epoxy/gel sandwich, either to stcik to wet rock, or move in the future.
