Best way to keep hermit crabs off my dendro

My hermit crabs tries to steal the food when I feed the dendro. What's the best way if any to keep them away?

I use an orange juice container cut in half. Place over the coral to spot feed and screw to top on for a few hours.

I have the same issue but with my clowns. I'm going to have to start using the 2L bottle trick as well. When I had my skunk shrimp she was the worse. She would reach right in their mouths and pull everything back out.
