Best way to lower Alk

I've maintained alk around 7-8dKH over the past year. Recently, I switched to a bubble magus dosing pump and from Seachem ReefFusion 1&2 to ESV 2-part. In the process, I've made a few mistakes and now my alk is around 9.5. I think because of this, I've managed to stress out a few of my acros. They've developed white tips and are also sliming from the tips. This is not new growth because these are established mini-colonies grown from frags. Not sure the higher alk is the problem, but I didn't have this problem before the move to 9.5. It's been about a week around 9dKH and the acros aren't sliming as much, but I'd like to lower it back to 8. I don't want to add to the stress with a rapid drop, but I also don't want to continue to stress them out while I let it fall over a week or so. How quickly should I let it drop back down? I estimate that I'd drop just over 1dKH/day if I didn't dose. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply, but will skip the acid approach and water changes won't help because the salt mixes to 9.5dKH. So, considering I believe the acros are already stressed from the rise, should I not dose for 1 day and let it fall 1dKH throughout the day, or should I dose less than normal and let it fall .x dKH over a week or so?

Or get a 'weaker' salt - I keep red sed coral prob and instant ocean on hand / Red Sea lots of ca alk , instant ocean not so much - u can get salt with out as high alk

I think I would just stop dosing and let it ride until the Alk drops on its own.
It's maybe a little high but not really anything critical to worry about IME.

Just adjust the dosing pump, I checked mine for the first time in months and after 14 drops I realized the problem and cut the dosing schedule. Just make changes slowly and you'll be fine.
