Best way to Photograph LED tanks???

So, I used to love taking pics of my tanks and corals. I switched to LED's and while I love the lights, all pics turn out looking like Smurfville under water.

Please tell me the best way to get good pics under LED's.

Is it adjusting the white balance on the camera, or is the answer photo editing after the fact? - Or do I need to turn off the blue Led's and just go with white while I am shooting pics?

Any advice would be really appreciated!

Thanks very much!

Mitch

The same advice as taking pictures under any other tank light....

Shoot RAW if at all possible and white balance in post-processing.

Following along since I am in the same boat. I can not get the correct colors to come out. Please let me know how yours turned out.

Thanks
Steve

YOU ARE THE MAN!!!

I downloaded some photo and raw photo editing freeware. Found the raw setting in my camera (had no clue) and my pics came out so nice after white balancing! It is a pleasure to be able to show what they actually look like in the tank. No more smurfland lol.

Thank you!!
