hi i was just wondering if you think i could keep a Bicolour Blenny and Tailspot Blenny together in the same 30 Gallon Tank.
currently have a royal gramma, picaso clownfish and bicolour blenny.

I currently house a algae, and black combtooth, In a 57, with LOTS of rock. they split the tank, and each stays to the other side.

It worked. But it could have gone the other way too.

It can be done. I have a very large 5"+ Bicolor, a pair of tail spot blennies and a Klauzinger blenny that all get along fine.

Granted I have a much larger tank, with alot more rock and quite a high fish load. But the Bicolor and tailspots have been together for more than 2 years.

It may work, but the tank size could be an issue. You have to scale multiple blennies to the tank. Which becomes tricky here since the tailspot scales fine but the bi-color might not.

If you do it, find a baby bi-color so theyll be roughly the same size when establishing domain. Or mix the tailspot with anothet small blenny.

is it worth the risk? my bicolour is pretty big and the the tail spot i was looking at is a but smaller than my bicolour.

IMO, No. It is not worth the risk as the bi-color will most likely kill the tail spot, especially in a tank your size.

I have not been successful mixing combtooth blennies (tries in a 57 and a 40, bad idea on my part) and will not try again unless I end up with a very large tank (somewhere around 250-300gallons ;) ). I was successful mixing a fanged blenny with a combtooth blenny, they ignored each other so maybe that is an idea for you.

Ah, didnt see that you already had the bi-color. Yeah, if your bi-color is already big then don't try it. The size-difference will just be too big.
